A meeting is being held to discuss the various bids for building a supermarket in Stonehaven.

The South Aberdeenshire Tenants and Residents Association (SATRA) have decided to hold the meeting in response to the high number of Stonehaven residents enquiring to their office about the Supermarket sites in Stonehaven.

Supermarket bids which are part of the emerging local development plan will be discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting each developer will outline their bid proposals, those attending the meeting will then have the opportunity to question the developer on their plans.

Those present will then be asked to state their preferred site in principle for a supermarket in Stonehaven from the bids which were presented to them.

The public will have the outcome of the vote revealed to them on the night.

This will give the public the chance to make their voices heard so that the development of Stonehaven can move forward in line with what Stonehaven residents want.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 14 September in Mackie Academy.
