Our President Mr George Swapp is retiring, Mr Swapp has been President for the last 25 years.
He feels it is time for him to Step Down. He mentioned how much he admires the RNLS in Stonehaven and also all the word the woman section do especially the catering for Armistice day and the money they accumulate for ex service charities. We wish him well and thank him for the past 25 years and all the support he has given us.
We had a very successful Christmas draw. There is to be two special draws in the near future and Spec Savers have very kindly donated two kindle fires.
The tickets for these draws are £2 per ticket. The Zone sports are taking place on February 2. There will be three visiting branches to Stonehaven; Sports are darts, cribbage, dominoes and pool.

Primary School Children all over Scotland are being asked to take part in a competition regarding the war memorials. They need to visit the local memorials and reseach some of the names on them, going on to find as much as they can. The reports will go to Edinburgh and the winners will get a trip to London, visit HMS Belfast and the war memorial museum. The knowledge and research will go into the archive records.
The women’s section are having a table top sale on March 15 from 10am until 12 noon. There will be 6 tables let at £10 per table. Come and join us and sell your goods, no two tables the same. There will be tea and coffee served.
There will be a Whist on Thursday February 20 from 7.30pm.
