Open Air in the Square (OAITS) are confident that they will have a mainly dry day for the Hogmanay event featuring Deacon Blue.
The music event organisers are advising everyone to wrap up warm for the event, with tickets still available.
Organisers said: “Despite the current spate of heavy rain and high winds which have recently plagued Scotland and the UK, organisers at Open Air in the Square, Stonehaven are encouraged by the current weather forecast which predicts a mainly dry day and night for 31st December with the current strong winds decreasing to much more kindly levels for the star studded event featuring Deacon Blue as the headline act.
“Organisers are advising those attending the event to be sure to dress appropriately and are asking the ladies attending to ‘go bag less’. If the thought of being out without a handbag is too stressful, then the ladies are asked to bring the smallest bag they can manage, which will help speed the safety and security checks required on entry to the venue.”
They added: “For those who have been undecided whether to attend, or who have just thought of it, there are still tickets available, which can be purchased from reception at Number 44, The Royal Hotel, Stonehaven until 5.00pm, December 31 2015.”
