A section of Stonehaven Station car park will be partially closed for three days this week for essential tree-clearing maintenance work.
The east side of the car park, which contains 18 parking spaces, will be affected from this evening (Thursday) until Sunday, February 22.
The west side of the car park by the platform will remain open as normal while a tree surgeon carries out the work.
Aberdeenshire Council asks motorists not to leave vehicles overnight in the affected section of the car park from this evening.
This is to allow for equipment to be brought on-site, as well as being in the best interests of users’ health and safety and to avoid damage to vehicles.
Aberdeenshire Council’s Head of Transportation, Ewan Wallace, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this necessary closure causes to local residents and station users.
“Pruning back trees and shrubbery will make the car park look tidier and more appealing to users.
“I thank all car park users for their patience while this essential maintenance takes place.”
Notices will be placed at the site. Alternative parking may be available on nearby Dennis Roger Lane and on Arduthie Road.
