NHS Grampian and Dickies Pharmacy are conducting a consultation on a proposal to open a new pharmacy at Hillside, Portlethen, Aberdeenshire.
This is a joint pre-application consultation and is being carried out under new regulations which came into force in June 2014.
NHS Grampian has to decide whether granting of the application would be necessary or desirable in order to secure adequate provision of pharmaceutical services in the neighbourhood in which the premises are located by persons whose names are included in the pharmaceutical list.
Dickies Pharmacy which wishes to submit the application, has defined the neighbourhood as Hillside which is the housing development and new business park west of the A90 at Portlethen.
The joint pre-application consultation runs from Friday October 30 2015 to Wednesday, March 9 2016. More details can be found at www.nhsgrampian.org/involvingyou and by clicking on ‘Projects and Consultations’.
The proposed premises at Hillside will be at Unit 2 Retail Centre, Hillside Road, if the application is approved. Dickies Pharmacy plans to provide these services at the following times: Monday to Friday: 9am - 5.30pm, Saturday: 9am - 12.30pm, Sunday: closed
Dickies Pharmacy currently has community pharmacies in the Torry, Summerhill, Northfield and Queens Cross areas of Aberdeen and in Kingswells and Balmedie.
