Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham have become a national institution with their incomparable mastery of fiddle and accordion, bringing excellence in traditional music to venues across the country.
Their 2015 tour of Scotland has kicked off and they are heading to Stonehaven Town Hall this Sunday May 24.
Individually, they pursue other ventures in performance, television and education.
Aly is Scotland’s supreme traditional style fiddler. His playing is unique - driving, impassioned and pure - with vibrant, unmistakable tone that has earned him a following of ardent fans throughout the world.
Phil is recognised as a superb, innovative instrumentalist - the man who, in Scotland at least, made the accordion respectable again. He also plays fine keyboard and whistle and as a composer his range extends from heart-tugging slow airs to vibrant tunes for a string of successful theatrical productions to full-scale concert suites.
It is when they tour together that they truly shine with over quarter of a century of well honed skills and hilarious banter delighting audiences everywhere.
