Over £300,000 of improvements are planned for a 1.7km stretch of the A90 southbound from Bridge of Muchalls to Westport near Stonehaven.
The investment from Transport Scotland will involve resurfacing this section of the southbound carriageway and the refreshment of road markings.
The overnight improvements start on Sunday 16 August for five nights from 7.30pm to 6.30am. A convoy system of traffic management will be in operation with a 10mph speed limit to help keep workers and motorists safe during the working hours.
Commenting on the works, Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit Representative, said: “These works will repair a number of cracks and potholes which will improve the general condition of the road for motorists.
“These works are being carried out overnight to minimise delays. We would, however, encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time.”
