Bervie Skate Park

Bervie Skate Park Committee had a poor turn out to their Annual General Meeting earlier this month and are still looking for new members. The Chairperson Simon Elms has had to step down and is urging our community to step up to the bar.

Simon said “Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I can no longer continue as chairman of the skate park committee. It’s nearly three years now since the Bervie skate park committee kicked off and in that time we have managed to raise over 10k, identify a location, and gain firm support from the council and the community. There is still a long way to go and it can only be achieved with the support and help from the people of Inverbervie. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to gain a much needed skate park and I hope someone else can now come forward and drive this project to completion. I’d like to thank all the other members of the committee and the people of Inverbervie for their support.”

1st Inverbervie Guides are looking for a volunteer to help run the unit as our current leader will be stepping down at Summer.

Perhaps you’ve helped before at another unit, in a different area? We provide training and support for all people taking on any position within guiding and no experience is necessary.

Without a leader to run the Guide unit we would have not choice but to close it despite the number of Guides increasing over the last year.

The Brownie unit is looking for a few volunteers to come and help out, either weekly or ocassionally to support the leader and help the girls whilst they do crafts and activities.
