The Children’s Nativity

Secret Santa for The Royal Burgh
Special Thanks to the help and kindness from the great team at Tidy Tangles, King Street, Inverbervie for collecting in all our generous donations.
Secret Santa will provide a few gifts and hampers out to residents who have been nominated by friends, neighbours and relatives.
Anyone wishing to donate a gift or something towards a Hamper can do so at Tidy Tangles by Friday, December 18.
Special Thanks go to local business’ Fotheringham Property Development, Bannermans Butcher and other local Business for their extremely generous donations towards this local cause, also to the Volunteers involved with collecting, sorting, wrapping and distributing these gifts and Hampers at one of their busiest times of the year. Bervie Food Bank
Bervie Food Bank is preparing for the Festive Season by booking in extra emergency food parcels and now working with Bervie Primary School.
Bervie P5 class is collecting in food donations as part of their Festive Nativity Topic work.
The pupils of P5 have had such a fantastic response to their call for donations that one of the Food Bank donation Wheelie bins had to be brought in to collect it all.
The final weigh in will take place later this week at school and will be announced soon.
Caroll Evans from Bervie Food Bank said: “We are delighted with the response and the professional approach the pupils have taken on this matter, they are helping us to learn more about the need of such facilities and can only be a good thing, my son Jamie is involved with the P5 project and I could not be prouder, this is a cause very close to my heart and I can see Jamie showing the same commitment to help our local community”

Bervie Youth Project
Sadly, due to festive activities we were short on volunteers to run Sports and Café on Saturday, December 12, so we are having something special on Saturday December 19 being our last week of the year.
Sports Activities FREE 3pm-4pm at Bervie Sports Centre, Kirkburn Inverbervie P6 and above, then Youth Café FREE 7pm-9pm at The Herd Centre, Townhead, Inverbervie for all P7 and above.
Fotheringham Property Development have Sponsored all of our December Projects, securing sports, Youth café and a Pizza Party to celebrate Christmas, The continued generosity of Fotheringham’s means we can run FREE for local Youths, providing Sports Activities and Youth Café to all members.

1st Inverbervie Scout Group
1st Inverbervie Scout Group has had their final meeting of the year. The Scout Group runs 3 Sections, all with healthy membership.
Beavers age 6-8, meet on a Wednesday, Cubs age 8-10 half, meet on a Thursday Scouts age 10 half – 14, meet on a Tuesday.

Hanover Court & Craigview
Monday, December 7, we had our Annual Christmas Party where we tucked into a lovely meal by the Ladies of Hillside Outside Caterers in the Masonic Hall, Thanks to Dave for switching on the heating.
We then went back to Hanover court where we were entertained by Jack McPherson where he had the ladies up dancing, Thanks to the singers also Peggy for her party piece which was enjoyed with a cuppa and mince pies, by the way John Brown that was a lovely hat you had on! HO HO
Ally Bally would like to Thank his committee for all their help through the year. Next date is Saturday December 19, 11am with Carol Singers from The Church. All Welcome, and maybe a cuppa.
The Lunch Club
On Tuesday, December 8, The Lunch Club enjoyed their last meeting of the year and were in Stonehaven to enjoy a Christmas party yesterday. With up to 20 Local Residents benefitting from this local gathering and the Volunteer Committee who arrange and run the fortnightly Lunch club wanted wish all the Local Residents a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
