Stonehaven Station car park will be closed for three days next month to allow for essential tree-clearing maintenance work.
The closure will be in effect from 6pm on Friday, May 15 until Monday, May 18.
Aberdeenshire Council asks motorists not to leave vehicles in the car park during this time, or beforehand if they cannot move them before the evening of May 18.
This is to allow for equipment to be brought on-site, as well as being in the best interests of users’ health and safety and to avoid damage to vehicles.
Aberdeenshire Council’s Head of Transportation, Ewan Wallace, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this necessary closure causes to local residents and station users.
“Pruning back trees and shrubbery will make the car park look tidier and more appealing to users.
“I thank all car park users for their patience while this essential maintenance takes place.”
Spaces on the opposite side of the tracks (Denis Roger Lane) and the small car park adjacent to the Station Build will be open as usual.
Notices will be placed at the site.
This is the second time this year the car park has seen a closure due to tree clearing work.
The car park previously had a section closed for three days in February.
