1297(Stonehaven) Sqn. Air Training Corps recently took delivery of a car engine. The engine, which came from a Ford Fiesta, was generously donated to the Squadron by Graeme Griese of Mossbank Breakers, Fettercairn.

The acquisition of the engine allows the Squadron to offer the cadets hands on instruction on the workings of the internal combustion engine which will prove invaluable as the cadets work their way through the training syllabus.

The cadets meet at their headquarters in Beachgate Lane every Thursday at 7.00pm and offer both the male and female members of the squadron a wide range of activities including sport, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Flying both powered and gliding, shooting and model making as well as the opportunity to take part in various camps.

The Squadron would welcome on a Thursday evening any girl or boy aged 13 + who would like to find out more about the activities which are on offer.
