The ‘Thanks for the Memory’ Charity Team, are holding another sale of previously loved ladies clothes and accessories on Sunday October 28 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
A warm invitation is extended to the ladies of Aberdeen city, the Shire and the surrounding areas to attend this smart retail opportunity with the extra ‘feel good’ factor that all profits are in support of CLAN (Cancer Link Aberdeen and North).
The sale will be held at the new CLAN House, 120 Westburn Road, Aberdeen. Parking is available on site and surrounding streets. Entry to the event is free. Refreshments can be purchased by donation in the ground floor lounge where raffle tickets will also be on sale.
A wide range of previously loved, little worn or unworn ladies clothing and accessories will be displayed in shop style for you to browse, try on in the adjacent changing room and purchase. A minimum of 50% of all sales income goes directly to CLAN in this agency style sale. Stock all comes from registered vendors and ranges in price from a mere £5 to a maximum of £50 to facilitate the income to CLAN.
Many items come from long term clients of House of Colour who would like to see their erroneous colours and styles become someone else’s must haves. Carol Shea, TftM member explains: “One of the joys of buying previously loved items is that it enables you to put together a unique look that will be ‘one off’ rather than ‘hot off’.
“With the help and advice of local designer/dressmaker Vessi Preston and House of Colour Aberdeen Style consultant Hilary Hayes they could even be adapted, altered or customised. There is also a positive environmental effect of recycling too.”
Purchases can be made using cash or cheques. The organisers apologise but there will be no facility to process credit or debit cards. Please also note that no goods can be accepted for sale on the day. Unsold items will be retained by CLAN to sell on in their shops.
