The Ury Players have received a cheque from TSB as part of a community initiative - hot on the heels of their well-received Christmas panto.
Space Odyssey: A Pantomime, proved very popular in Stonehaven with plenty of people flocking to see it in the Town Hall.
The TSB presented them with a cheque for £100 last Friday to help with the production costs.
Fiona Lownie, who runs the charity aspect of the local branch, got in touch with the group as she and others at TSB felt that they were deserving.
The bank said: “Part of the relaunch of TSB was to help and support local enterprises and groups. The Ury players have a long outstanding contribution to the local community and we are happy to lend them our support.”
The dust has barely settled on the group’s Christmas panto, as they look to take part in the SCDA One Act Play Festival in Aberdeen in February.
The competition involves eight amateur drama teams from Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire battling it out, entertaining the audience with plays of different natures.
Each play will last from 20 to 50 minutes maximum, ranging from serious plays to comedy.
The Ury Players will be putting on a two act play in June in an adult-only production of Dirty Dusting.
The Players said: “We would like to thank TSB and everyone in Stonehaven for their continued support over the years.
“It was great for this local business to help support a local community club like ourselves.”
