The Bervie Play Parks Committee has joined forces with the Bervie Skate Parks Committee to organise a huge sponsored abseil event in September.

Organisers are looking for volunteers to come along and sign up for the challenge on Saturday September 21, when they will be running a full day of Abseiling from the 75foot North Water Bridge over the River North Esk.

The old Railway Bridge will be a hub of Outdoor Adventure for anyone wishing to take part (terms and conditions apply) age 9 and over.

Money raised in sponsorship will go towards the play park and skate park schemes. The play park committee has been set up to manage the upgrade and maintain local parks, while the skate park committee are working to raise funds to create a skate park for the community.

The Royal Burgh is known for its community spirit, and for residents who are keen to ‘have a go’, so there should be no shortage of willing participants! To register for this event please contact Caroll Evans 50 Church Street, Inverbervie. carollevans77@btinternet.com or call 01561 361587 and an information pack will be sent out.
