New Year Resolutions!
If your New Year’s Resolution is to be more involved in ourcCommunity, then there are plenty of ways in which you can help.
Our older generation need some help from time to time, with shopping trips, doctor visits or gardening assistance. Bervie has very fewvVolunteers and we need more.
Mearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network operate in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations, and most particularly with community groups, to improve the health of older people. Contact Nikki Lorimer on 01561 378130 or email email@example.com and volunteer to help 1 hour per week/fortnight or whatever you can.
Bervie Gala Committee is another great way to become involved. Bervie Gala Team work throughout the year. They arrange and give us a wonderful GALA week every year in June and the cash raised gives us a fabulous fireworks display every November, bright and exciting Christmas lights every December and local grants are available for the groups and organisation in and around the Royal Burgh. This year, with some retirements due, the Royal Burgh of Inverbervie’s Gala Committee really do need you. This is a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Contact Audrey on 01561 362629.
With such a busy and active community there really is a little something for everyone, for more information about local clubs, groups and organisations in the Royal Burgh visit www.bervie.net and become part of the bigger picture.

Catriona Bennet, proprietor, said: “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers old and new for their support over the years, in fact, we will shortly be celebrating 10 years here at The Queens. Think that’s a cue for a party! We’d also like to thank all our entertainment providers who give us such a great atmosphere here Ellie DeeJays, JDM Music and all our live entertainers.” Customers will be treated to a piper at midnight for Hogmanay celebrations.
