Young Photographer 2013

Entries are now being invited for the Rotary Young Photographer 2013 competition. This is a national competition which starts with local heats. The winners from these then go forward to district and regional competitions ending up with the search for the overall national winner. Local Rotary Club co-ordinator, Jim Henderson, said: “This is a competition in which anyone can take part. There are 3 separate judging groups, Juniors 7 to 10, Intermediate 11 to 13 and Seniors 14 to 17. It’s not about having an expensive camera as most children now have a camera phone or their parents have a digital camera which they can borrow. This year we’ve set the theme as Peace and we’ll be looking to see how this is interpreted by the young photographers.”

Local and surrounding area primary and secondary schools have entry forms but if you need more information or forms then go the “Contact us” section of the club website at More Rotary news and pictures on pages nine and twelve.
