Auchenblae Youth Club have taken part in the National Police Consultation with other young people from Banff Academy and Aboyne Youth Forum.

Aberdeenshire Council were one of four local authority areas selected to take part in this consultation which saw their views and experiences of the Police recorded to ensure young people can influence the way the new organisation will work and plan in the future.

This investigation culminated in a youth-led event, a National Discussion Day at the National Police training college, where young people, police officers, Government representatives and other key influences engaged in open and constructive conversation.

Two young people from Auchenblae Youth Club, Ronan Strachan, from S5, and William Barron, from S3, attended and presented their findings in front the assembled audience, which included Stephen House, chief constable of Police Scotland, Richard Foggo, head of community safety at the Scottish Government and Kenny McAskill MSP.
