Top of the table and undefeated Fraserburgh edged a win over Bervie on Saturday.
The game opened at pace and both sides had chances to open the scoring with a Turner header going wide before Fraserburgh broke through on the left and the cross was in behind the Bervie defence and the Fraserburgh No9 was the quickest to react and fired it home from 15 yards on the volley and scored to make it 1-0, 15mins gone.
The equaliser came when Turner latched onto a chipped ball and on the half volley lobbed the keeper on 25 mins.Fraserburgh regained the lead on 28 minutes when a free kick caught out Bervie and the striker ran in and headed high right beyond the diving McNaught.
Fraserburgh scored again to make it 3-1. Salmond, who was otherwise excellent all game and probably the man of the match, was caught trying to shepherd the ball out for a bye kick and the Fraserburgh attacker got his toe to it and drove into the box and the cut back landed at the strikers feet for a tap in to score.
Bervie were awarded a free kick on the left in 82 minutes and Webster drove the ball in for McLaughlin heading back across the goal. There were a number of chances but no further goals and Fraserburgh went on to secure victory retaining their unbeaten status.
