Johner went into this must-win match on the back of a three- game losing streak if they were to keep their slimming promotion hopes alive.
They had faced Dyce three times already this season including cup games and had come out on top on each occasion so were hopeful of the trend continuing.
In the fifth minute, a corner from Smith found the head of MacLaren but his header was well saved.
Captain Scott blasted just over the bar from far out.
It was all Johner but they just could not find a break through. Smith’s free kick was just wide of the post with the away keeper stranded.
The home team did take a deserved lead just on the stroke of half time. A long throw in from MacLaren was flicked on by R. Blease and his brother Shaun Blease controlled brilliantly and fired into the roof of the net.
Johnshaven came out all guns blazing in the second half and the match was over as a contest by 50 minutes.
S. Blease returned the earlier assist to his brother Ross in the 48th minute as the latter blasted a half volley into the top corner - 2-0.
A J. Dalgarno free kick was headed out by a Dyce defender only as far as Steven Smith who blasted the ball into the bottom corner to make it 3-0 on the 50th minute.
Rodger replaced S. Blease, then R. Blease nearly made it four after heading over at a corner.
T. Dalgarno replaced Beedie and L Dundas replaced R. Blease.
Dyce scored a consolation goal late on when a cross-come -hot evaded everyone including debutant goalkeeper Cameron Glennie and found the roof of the net.
