It was Medal Finals last weekend for the men, seniors and juniors at Stonehaven Golf Club. In the men’s Innes Medal Final the competition was played in a strong testing wind and the winner on the day was new member Ross Porter with a nett 66 off his 7 handicap. He won by 1 stroke from Stewart Allsop and Ross McAllan.
Alongside the Medal final the Captains Cup was also up for grabs. This was for all the scratch qualifiers from the monthly medals throughout the season. Winner of the Cup was Neil Irvine with score of 69. Callum Mitchell and Chris Brown were joint runners up a stroke behind.

The juniors also played their medal final and winner on the day was Kiefer Brown with a nett 63 off his 6 handicap. Grant Robb was runner up.
On Monday the seniors played their medal final and past Captain Harry Roulston was able to put his poor form from the Senior Championship behind him to come storming through with an excellant gross 68 nett 61 to win by a very comfortable 6 strokes from Terry Middleton and Ally Reid. This meant that Harry has again beaten his age - this time by 2 strokes.

A further update on the matchplay competitions from last week’s report. Alan Officer beat Graeme Ritchie in the final of the J M Low Trophy. Chris Taylor awaits the outcome of the Harry Roulston/Paul Forster semi final in the Willie Watt matchplay competition. Gregor Angus & Callum Mitchell will play Terry Middleton & John Findlay in the doubles final.
