A Laurencekirk golfer recently hit a hole-in-one on the fifth hole of the Montrose Medal golf course.
69-year old Alastair Burnett was out with playing partners Arthur Young and Grant Wilson, whom he plays with every Wednesday in Montrose during the Winter.
Alastair holed the Albatross (a score three-under-par on a single hole) for his fourth ever hole-in-one and his first on a Par 4.
The shot was witnessed by Alastair’s Doctor, Dr. Mulcahy, who was putting on the green at the time.
Alastair said: “The green is up a hill so you can’t really see it from the tee.
“He (Dr Mulchay) was waving down to me, I thought maybe the ball had gone through his legs or struck one of theirs but he was waving to let me know it was in the hole.”
