The winter league finals were played over Saturday and Sunday of last weekend.
Long-standing league leaders Stuart Dempster and Barry McGillivary won the scratch competition by three shots with a two round total of 124 (61+63), they were pushed all the way by last year’s champions Ross McAllan and Kevin Riddell, who finished three shots behind on 127(66+61) with Ross also having a hole-in-one at the eighth in his Sunday
In third place was Graeme McFarlane and Grant Robb on 127 (67+62) and fourth were Neil Irvine and Harry Roulston on 131 (68+63).
In the handicap doubles John Neal and Douglas Henderson were the victors again, leading by two shots. 1st-J.Neal & D.Henderson 113(58+55), 2nd-N.Cattanach & R.Pyper 115(56+59), 3rd-K.Duncan & I.Wood 119(61+58), 4th-A.Barnett & T.Simpson 123 (64+59).
Things could not have been tighter in the singles with round one leader Darren Milne being level with Neil Macarthur on a two round total of 79 points. Neil won on count back, by virtue of a better second round total.
Results: 1st-N.MaCarthur 79(38+41), 2nd-D.Milne 79(40+39), 3rd-A.Davidson 77(36+41), 4th-S.McGhie 74(38+36).
