Portlethen Community Basketball Club (Panthers) are once again celebrating success; with the under 12 girls team finishing in second place at the recent BasketballScotland National Challenge event in Paisley.

The National Challenge event sees top teams from all over Scotland compete.

The girls finished top of their group to play-off in the Gold Division against Highland Bears and Stirling Knights.

The girls from Highland Bears were just too strong for the Panthers girls but they played well to take the win in the game against Stirling Knights, meaning they finished 2nd overall.

Well done to all the players, coaches and parents for supporting the team and a special well done to Faith Wood who was named one of the All-Star Five players.

If you want to give basketball a go - you could always attend the Summer Basketball Camps that Panthers are holding at Stonehaven Leisure Centre w/c Monday 4th July and at Portlethen Academy w/c Monday, July 18.

Camps cost £20 per day or £95 for a full week and run from 9am to 5pm.
