Captains shootout in darts latest last week

Last week saw an absolute classic between Quoiters B and Station where it came down to a last leg shootout between the two captains with Quoiters B grabbing a 5-4 win.

The standard of darts thrown last Wednesday was probably the highest the league has seen for a long time; on any other night Ian Towe would have been the standout performer but he was not only bettered by 1 player, but 2! Jason Hogg and Russell Williams both threw excellent darts; Jason winning his match 2-0 thanks to 14 and 19 dart legs, with Russell’s winning legs in a 2-1 win being 18 and 15 darts, the 15 darter being completed in style with a 114 outshot. In the other matches Troupers A got their first points on the board whilst Market and Neuk A continued their undefeated start to the season.

September 23 results; Quoiters B 5-4 Station, Market 8-1 Legion A, Neuk B 0-9 Troupers, Neuk A 8-1 Troupers Bees, Legion B 1-8 Creel, Station B 9-0 Quoiters A.

Next week sees the league Trebles competition being held at the Legion (downstairs) on Wednesday October 7. Registration is on the night at 7.45pm, with play commencing at 8pm.
