Ross Porter continued his fine form on from last week to top the leaderboard in the RNLI medal at Stonehaven Golf Club.
His nett score of 63 was good enough for a two stroke win over Graeme McFarlane, Craig A Irvine and John Neal. There were five players a further two strokes behind.
Leading scores: RNLI medal CSS 67: Ross Porter (7) - 63, Graeme McFarlane (11), Craig A Irvine (8), John Neal (19) - 65; Willie Pittendreigh (9), Mike Rendall (16), David Henderson (12), John Cowie (19), John MacFarlane (11) - 67, Jim Lonie (11), Stuart Campbell (16), Ian Smith (10), Chris Brown (5), Grant Robb (6) - 68; Brian Hunter (8), Stuart Paul (17), Gordon Adamson (5), Gary Daun (13), Ian Hastie (15), Harry Roulston (6) - 69.
One further update in the knockout competitions is that Harry Roulston overcame Paul Forster by 4&3 and now plays Chris Taylor in the 36 hole Willie Watt matchplay final.
At the recent Council meeting it was decided that bunkers will be in play over the winter and that play will start at the first hole and not the usual 18th hole as has been the case in previous years.
The Club is still taking names for this Sunday’s Neil Selbie Texas Scramble. Please phone the club for a tee time or book online.
