Laurencekirk’s Dickson Hall hosted Feis Spe Cairngorm Ceilidh Trial 2016 on Wednesday, July 27 as young musicians played Celtic music.
The touring party of eight young musicians, aged from 16 to 18 years old, entertained the audience with a wide repertoire of traditional Celtic and Scottish music.
As well as singing, the group of youngsters played a range of musical instruments including keyboards, guitar, mandolin, fiddles, whistles and pipes.
The group, selected at auditions earlier this year, only met a few weeks ago and followed their residential camp by curating their programme of music and song to travel around the Cairngorm National Park area.
Also as part of the tour were shows at Dunnottar Castle, Ballater, Braemar, Crathes Caslte, Glamis Castle and Blair Atholl.
