Last Thursday saw the first visit of Fleeman Productions, the amateur dramatic company from Aberdeen,to Laurencekirk. The company champions Doric works and makes a major contribution to North-east culture.
On this occassion they presented four one-act comedies based on the works of Anton Chekhov.
Chekhov would have been delighted that his plays had reached Laurencekirk- but may have found the Doric a bit of a challenge. The audience found themselves in a familiar comfort zone, however, and were delighted to have the opportunity to enjoy these excellent productions at a local venue.
