An Aberdeen youth festival will be bringing a ‘variety of performers’ to the Mearns and Kincardineshire areas in July and August.
Aberdeen International Youth Festival will be taking shows to South Aberdeenshire as part of the popular Extended Festival programme.
Shows will span across the north-east, including Aberdeenshire, Angus and Moray during the nine-day event from Friday, July 29 to Saturday, August 6.
This year’s festival welcomes groups from Canada, Norway, China,Malta, the USA, South Africa and more.
On Thursday, August 4, the Stonehaven Gala will take place at the town hall at 7.30pm.
Audiences can expect local guitar and fiddle duo Ross Hull and Cameron Grant - who have performed in the past with the North East Folk Collective - as well as Canadian group the North Shore Celtic Ensemble.
The Tim Muhinah Angklung Orchestra from Indonesia will also be playing, having last attended the festival in 2004.
And at the Laurencekirk’s Dickson Hall, the Moravian Woodwind Quintet from the Czech Republic will be performing on Friday, August 5.
The quintet’s repertoire includes pieces by well-known composers including Mozart, as well lesser-known Czech composers such as Rejcha.
