Hello Dave. Zippos Circus, dubbed ‘Scotland’s favourite circus’, is returning to entertain audiences in Stonehaven next week.
The troupe played in the town last year, and ringmaster Norman Barrett MBE - who has been with the circus for 16 years - will be leading affairs again.
He said: “We have a great following up here in Scotland and in particular the north-east.
“I think people come back to us because we are good clean family fun and people know that they are going to be entertained.
“We are different, when we are putting on our performances, we don’t put it on for them, we want to put on a performance and have them with us.”
The stop at Stonehaven is part of a national tour to celebrate the circus’ 30th anniversary.
There will be two new acts as part of this year’s show - one involving a horse named Kenzo.
Other animals featuring in the show are budgies and cats.
And in classic circus-style, there will be dazzling displays of human acrobatics from trapeze artists, performing high above the ring without a net.
The tent will be pitched at Stonehaven’s Baird Park from Monday, July 25 until Wednesday, July 27.
There will be shows at 7:30pm on all three days, and there will also be an extra 3pm show on Tuesday. July 26.
Ticket prices start from £7.50 and can be booked by calling 0871 210 2100 or visiting scotlandsfavouritecircus.scot.
Tickets will also be available at the site on all days.
